  18. Windows NT may fail during setup on the Olivetti 486/33 M480-20 with the
  19. following error message:
  20.  
  21.    Setup could not be started.
  22.    Could not open multi(0)disk(0)fdisk(0)partition(0)
  23.    ARC status-13 Loader exited.
  24.  
  25. CAUSE
  26. =====
  27.  
  28. The Olivetti 486/33 M480-20 has an option for PS/2 mouse compatibility in
  29. CMOS setup; this option is on by default.
  30.  
  31. RESOLUTION
  32. ==========
  33.  
  34. To allow Windows NT to set up, disable the PS/2-compatible mouse port
  35. option in CMOS. If you are using the PS/2 mouse port on this computer,
  36. Windows NT will not run. A serial mouse on either COM1 or COM2 must be
  37. used.

  39. The Olivetti product included here is manufactured by Ing. C. Olivetti, a
  40. vendor independent of Microsoft; we make no warranty, implied or otherwise,
  41. regarding this product's performance or reliability.

  43. Microsoft has confirmed this to be a problem in Windows NT version 3.1 and
  44. Windows NT Advanced Server version 3.1. We are researching this problem and
  45. will post new information here in the Microsoft Knowledge Base as it
  46. becomes available.
